To make shopping with us here at Glamo society as easy as possible, here are some FAQs we have answered!
Do you offer layaway plans?
Yes! We offer a layaway plan to make budgeting for your dress or suit simple and easy. Buy now and pay off your purchase over time, ensuring your attire is reserved and ready for your big day. Our affordable layaway plans are available for both in-stock and special-orders.
Layaway Plan
If you choose our 30-day layaway, then simply put down 50% when you choose your dress or suit and then pay the other 50% via invoice 30 days later.
If choosing our 90-day layaway, then you pay 33% when you choose your dress or suit and then pay 33% 30 days later, and then the remaining 33% 30 days after that.
There are no hidden interest fees, financial charges, or other fine print, making our layaway plan a popular option.
Payment Plan
For dresses or suits that are not in stock and need to be special ordered, Glamo Society offers an affordable payment plan. Payment plans are available for any wedding gown, prom, homecoming, mother of the bride dress or tuxedos that need to be special ordered. To use the payment plan, customers must agree to make a deposit and once paid Glamo will order the dress or suit. If the dress or suit arrives and you decided you don't like it, that deposit goes towards any future purchase you make with us.
As with our layaway plan, there are no hidden interest fees, financial charges, or other fine print, so all money paid goes toward the cost of the dress or suit.
How long does it take for ordered dresses and suits to come in?
Suit orders usually take 4-6 business days to arrive; dresses up to 7-10 business days. For events, please order at least 2-3 weeks in advance. If your event is the week of, there is a $35 rush fee to guarantee it gets here in time. Unfortunately, we do not control the postage system. We call you when your order is ready for pick up.
Do you offer alterations?
We absolutely do! It's a $25 deposit to make your appointment, at least 3 months before your event, for the initial fitting. That's when you meet with our alteration's specialist and finalize what alterations need to be done and how much it'll cost. A second fitting, no deposit needed, usually scheduled based off of how long it'll take to complete the alterations, is when you try on your dress and determine if additional alterations need to made.
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept credit, debit, gift card, cash app and cash!
Do you have a clearance section?
Yes, we do! We have two, in fact: one for formal dresses and another for Bridal gowns. You can get up to 30% off on a formal dress and our Clearance bridal is $500 or less.
What kind of discounts do you offer?
Glamo is proud to say that we offer a 10% discount for Military members and teachers with ID. We also offer event discounts, like Memorial Day.
Do you have a holding policy?
We do. For a nonrefundable $50 deposit that goes towards the cost of the dress, we will hold it for 48 hours.
Same School, Same Dress?
Not on our watch! While we can't say the same for other boutiques, Glamo keeps track of the schools their dresses will be worn at, making sure we don't sell the same dress to the same school for the same event. Every young lady deserves her time to shine in her own unique way, and we do what we can to discourage possible fashion faux pas.
Can we rent dresses and suits?
We no longer offer dress rentals, unless you are a Glamo Ambassador, but we do offer suit and tux rentals. You can rent a tux or suit by picking one out online via the QR Code in our Tuxedos section of the website and then come into the store to order it. Or, you can come in person and pick it out with a Glamo Employee. We call you when the suit or tux arrives.
We charge $25 for every day the suit or tux is in your possession, barring the day of your event, or the day after.
If your event is more than a week away, we can absolutely order you a rental suit from Jim's Formal.
All rental prices are based on the complexity and quality of the item.
Do you take used dresses?
No we do not. All of our dresses are brand-new and bought directly from suppliers. The dresses that we do not have space for or are out of fashion get donated to Hoke County Highschool's Cinderella Closet.
How often do you get new stuff in?
Excellent question! We get new dresses and suits in at least every week, shipping favorable, and we love letting our new inventory take the spotlight.
